What is Okaigo?

Okaigo Clothing Company, LLC is a high-end streetwear fashion house and lifestyle brand created to enhance your personal style and self-confidence.

The word Okaigo is pronounced [ Okay - go ] and it means to motivate oneself through self-reflection and accountability based on personal results. Okaigo is a word that was coined and defined by the company's Founder and CEO Sherlon "Sakstrend" Stephenson in 2007. Over the years Sherlon has created a very positive and uplifting movement behind the brand by motivating and inspiring others to be their very best daily. The hot air balloon logo simply represents "Elevation" because we understand that it takes a lot of work to get anything worth having off the ground. We aim to make progress daily and continuously move upwards to achieve all of our goals.

As a company we are purposeful, though we are in the fashion industry and this is a business, our main reason for existing is to make people feel good about themselves. We want people to always live in humbleness, gratefulness and elevate in their greatness daily. We believe that; When you look good you feel good, and when you feel good you will always do good.

Our company is based in Brooklyn, New York and we are professional, passionate and supportive of building a better future for the less fortunate youths within our communities.

Prior to launching the company officially in May 2019, Sherlon sat on the idea to launch Okaigo for many years and has made several failed attempts to launch the company. Our founder was struggling with believing in his own ideas, procrastination, lacking of self-motivation, and felt crippled by his lack of knowledge of the fashion industry. Not knowing where to start he began writing down all his ideas and one day at a time he started to research and began taking small steps towards making his dreams a reality.

Now thanks to our very carefully curated designs and creativity we have been growing a lot as a small business gaining new supporters daily. As the company grows, we aspire to build the world's best household high-end streetwear brand with a purpose to uplifting others. Okaigo is streetwear meet couture chic, sticking to our raw street essence while keeping it clean and elevating the culture by thinking out of the box.  

Our core purpose is to Motivate and Create, “We believe that driving sales is as important as building a drive in the people around us” said Sherlon S.  We create amazing and unique designs, art, fashion and beauty in all that we do. In addition to creating dope pieces of clothing, we also create new job opportunities in the communities that we operate within. We hope to be an inspiration to people that are chasing their dreams and facing the everyday struggles of being an entrepreneur and/or an intrapreneur.
